Absolutely! I work with runners at the back, middle and front of the pack and have done so for several years. If you are goal-oriented and committed to your training then I’m here to help, no matter what your pace.
The key difference between Private Coaching and Training Plans is your level of interaction with me. With Private Coaching, you have regular contact with me via email, telephone or Skype. In fact, Private Coaching is the most nimble option – allowing for changes to your schedule on an ongoing basis. All questions are answered, training strategies are refined and modifications to your training program are implemented based on your personal schedule (i.e. work travel) and, if applicable, race results. Think of me as a partner every step of the way toward your goals.
With Training Plans, you will also receive a fully personalized training program based on your ability, schedule and racing goals but interaction is limited once the Training Plan is handed off to you. If you think you will need someone to adjust your program throughout (because you prefer a more personalized approach) then Private Coaching is the best option. However, if you feel confident managing the training plan on your own, purchasing a Training Plan may be a good fit.

A signed WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION is required by all clients of GB Running, LLC prior to activation of all services and before training may begin. All waivers are mandatory.
Clients who have paid in full will have access to all training details for one weeks (7 days) after the completion of the program via Final Surge. After the one week grace period has ended, the training plan will no longer be visible or available for download.
No, you may begin or end coaching at any time.
Clients may cancel Private Coaching at any time. As a courtesy, a full month notice is preferred in order to resolve any final training needs. In instances where clients request coaching services for the completion of a single race (such as a marathon) the race will generally mark the end of the Private Coaching training program. Pacing clients acknowledge that failure to provide 24 hour advance notification of cancellation forfeits any fees paid for a single session.
I manage all billing through a wonderful, online invoice system called FreshBooks. FreshBooks, a secure site, is linked to Stripe who (much like PayPal) accepts major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. In doing so, all payment information is securely handled via Stripe. Neither I nor FreshBooks ever receives your credit card info – ever. You’ll receive an automated email on the first calendar day of each month with a link to remit payment. Of course, the first and last month of any Private Coaching plan will be prorated; payment is due on the date coaching services are activated, however, in subsequent months, payment is due by the 10th calendar day of each month.
No. While I have competed as a triathlete, myself, and have even paced private clients through triathlon races – I do not consider myself a multi-sport coach. I have served as a coaching assistant for the JackRabbit Sports (NYC) triathlon training program, and I am happy to help multi-sport athletes with their running. However, running (i.e. 5k, 10k, half marathons, marathons) remains my focus. If you require a comprehensive triathlon training program including all three disciplines simultaneously (swimming, biking, running) I would suggest hiring Jonathan Cane of City Coach, a multi-sport specific coach.
Of course! I coach athletes of all abilities and, while many of my runners are not competitive, they still desire coaching guidance. I will provide you with both the knowledge and framework of your program, as well as the encouragement for you to succeed.
After you submit the online questionnaire (link here) and complete the Assessment one week is required for me to complete a comprehensive analysis of your training and racing history and build a program to help you reach your goals.
I simply put your program “on hold” until you return. You are credited for any unused weeks (or months) of training and your plan begins anew when you decide to return.
